Twenty-three years, one crew philosophy: show up when we say we will, do the work right, and stand behind it after the truck leaves.
Marcus Whitfield started painting houses in Little Rock in the late 1990s, working for a couple of outfits that were long on promises and short on follow-through — missed start dates, crews that vanished mid-job, estimates that ballooned once the drop cloths were down. In 2003, he set out on his own with one truck, a small crew of two, and a simple standard: quote it honestly, show up when you say you will, and don't leave until it's right.
That standard is still the operating model today. All Metro Painting has grown into a full residential and commercial painting company serving Little Rock and the surrounding Pulaski County metro, but the jobs are still run the way Marcus ran them from his truck in 2003 — a named crew lead accountable for every project, a written estimate before any work starts, and a final walkthrough before we consider a job finished.
We've painted starter homes in Levy, mid-century ranches in Broadmoor, new construction in Chenal Valley, historic properties near the Governor's Mansion district, and office parks along Cantrell Road and University Avenue. Along the way we've built a crew of long-tenured painters, not a rotating cast of subcontractors, which is part of why the quality stays consistent from job to job.
Every quote is written and itemized before work begins. If something changes on-site, we tell you before we touch it — not after.
One person is accountable for your project from walkthrough to final inspection, so questions don't get lost between subcontractors.
Patching, sanding, caulking, and washing aren't optional line items we skip to hit a lower bid — they're why our paint jobs last.
We live and work in this market. Our reputation here is built job by job, and we don't take shortcuts that put it at risk.
All Metro Painting is a member of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and sponsors youth sports leagues in the Southwest Little Rock area where Marcus grew up. Our crews have volunteered on multiple Habitat for Humanity builds in Pulaski County, donating labor and materials on paint days for new homeowners.
We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage on every crew member, and we're happy to provide proof of insurance and licensing before any commercial or multifamily project begins. All estimates are free, written, and come with no obligation.
